James Stephen
I was born on the 6th October 1973 in Kota Belud. At the age of 3, when my mother brought me to accompany my brother for medical attention, they also examined me and confirmed that I have 3 holes in my heart as I was not feeling too well.
At the end of 1987, at the age of 14, the Doctor confirmed that I’m also having ‘Heart Value’ problem, coupled with ‘2 big holes and another one small one’, it was indeed urgent that I need immediate Corrective Heart Surgery as my breathing was getting difficult. I had short of breath and less energy. My parents were short of funds and we sought the help of SOSHF for sponsorship for the cost of surgery.
In January 1988, I was sent to Singapore for operation. It was a successful operation. After the operation, I felt the difference and I lived a normal life like any teenager of my age.
Today, I am married with Jacqueline Anthony and together we have 5 lovely children. I also practice a healthy diet and taking supplement to maintain health without relying on medicines.
