Faizal
My name is Faizal. I was born on the 14th September 2008. I live with my mother in Kg. Gayang Tuaran together with my uncle, aunt and cousins. I am the only child in the family and was fully cared by my mother and she was the main breadwinner, who work in a factory with monthly earning only RM520.
I was diagnosed with Chronic Rheumatic Heart Disease (CRHD) in 2020, where my mother found out that I cannot walk for 2 weeks. Moreover, I also complaint that I have a pain on my chest area and admitted in Tuaran Hospital to be monitored by the doctor. After 5 days in the ward, I was transferred to Likas Hospital for further examination and the doctor diagnosed me with CRHD.
On 8th December 2021, I was finally scheduled to IJN after a long wait, as the doctor informed us that I need to wait for a fund to enable me to undergo heart surgery. But at that moment my mother and family were very worried, looking at my condition where I was very weak, and I cannot do any work but lay down most of the time so to conserve energy.
The journey I took to Kuala Lumpur was indeed very tough to me. I was successfully operated on the 12th December 2021. Today, I was very happy to have a second chance of life and see a bright future for me. We wish to thank Persatuan Tabung Pesakit Jantung Sabah for helping me to pay all the cost of medical treatment, airfare, some allowance and food basket.
